Innovating Education
for English Language Learners (ELLs) & Newcomers
We aim to be a part of concerted action toward achieving quality education that empowers
English Language Learners (ELLs) to become post-secondary and workforce-ready. Through evidence-based and professional support, these populations can be more involved in college and university, particularly in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Medicine (STEMM) fields, as there is a growing need in these workforce areas in the US and around the world and our expertise can help you step into these areas.

We strongly believe that ELLs can thrive and unleash their full potential with professional support, a call by the U.S. Department of Education on people, institutions, and organizations in the Newcomer Toolkit.
Welcome to
Center for Innovative Education

We sincerely trust in the unique potential of each individual to contribute to the world.
Our commitment drives us to design pathways for English Language Learners (ELLs) and newcomers to opportunity and success that unleash their potential. We aim to minimize the barriers on their way to success in the US schools and increase their interest, capacity, and involvement in higher education, particularly in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Medicine (STEMM) majors as there is a growing need in the US and in the world in these areas.

We believe ELLs and newcomers can achieve their fullest potential, actively participate
in the US STEMM workforce, and contribute to a better future for all.

research-driven
Data-driven and
evidence-based educational practices and guidance tailored to the needs of each individual and each school environment can help individuals reveal their unique capacities.
STEMM FOCUS
(Science,Technology, Engineering,
Math & Medicine)
ELLs are underrepresented in STEMM majors and professions in the US due to some barriers they face. We aim to increase their participation in STEMM through evidence-based support.
neuroscience based approaches
In the age of technology and AI, we need neuroscience-based educational practices more than ever to keep humans at the center and in the driver's seat of innovation.
diversity
equity
inclusion
People can contribute to the world when their unique identities are celebrated, diverse needs are met, and their variability is embraced.

English Language Learning
We guide newcomers and ELLs in their English Language Learning and ESL-exit journeys, college preparation & application processes, and
skill development.
Our services are provided by educators holding degrees in English Language Teaching for Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and graduate degrees in education.

We also collaborate with international schools, districts, and newcomer programs to help design and implement brain-based language teaching and teacher education programs.

Math for STEMM
(Science,Technology, Engineering, Math & Medicine)

We support ELLs and their educators through evidence-based Math services.

The Federal STEM Education Strategic Plan states that mathematics is a magnet for STEMM.
Mathematics is one of two subjects tested by the SAT and ACT, and it is a gatekeeper in STEMM majors, especially in the early college years.
The high attrition rates in STEMM fields due to failure in college math courses in universities is backed by a good body of research. Therefore, through Math services, our center aims to help ELLs enter and stay at STEMM majors by making high-quality STEMM education accessible.
